Ayushman Bharat Card 2026: Who Qualifies and How to Apply

PM-JAY gives ₹5 lakh a year of cashless hospital cover per family, with no premium to pay.

Everyone aged 70 and above qualifies under Vay Vandana, rich or poor, with a separate ₹5 lakh top-up.

Base eligibility comes from SECC-2011 data, plus ASHA and Anganwadi workers and their families.

Making the card is free; you can apply on the Ayushman app, the NHA portal or at a CSC.

ABHA is a digital health record, not insurance — it is not the same as the PM-JAY card.
