BCCI Central Contracts: How Indian Cricketers Get Paid
A central contract is an annual retainer paid just for being in the BCCI's pool — separate from per-match fees.
Four grades: A+ (~₹7 cr), A (~₹5 cr), B (~₹3 cr), C (~₹1 cr), reviewed every year.
Match fees stack on top: ₹15 lakh per Test, ₹6 lakh per ODI, ₹3 lakh per T20I.
The 2024 Test incentive pays ₹30 lakh extra per Test at 50%+ appearances, ₹45 lakh at 75%+.
IPL and WPL pay is franchise money — completely outside the central contract.
