Road tax is paid in 2-year blocks at 8%, 10% or 12% of invoice price (diesel +2%, EV −2%).

Eligible: central/state/PSU/defence staff and employees of private firms with offices in 4+ states or UTs.

Apply via the vehicle portal at purchase; private-sector staff must upload Form 60 / a working certificate.
