BSDA Demat Account: Stop Overpaying Demat AMC in India
BSDA charges zero AMC up to ₹4 lakh holdings and just ₹100 a year up to ₹10 lakh.
You qualify only if it's your sole demat account as first holder and value stays under ₹10 lakh.
SEBI raised the BSDA ceiling from ₹2 lakh to ₹10 lakh, effective 1 September 2024.
Eligible accounts should convert automatically, but brokers often don't — you must ask.
Cross ₹10 lakh and the account flips to a regular demat with full charges.
