Your DPDP Rights: How to Make Companies Delete Your Data
The DPDP Rules were notified on 13 Nov 2025; your rights to erasure, correction and withdrawal are now law, not theory.
You can ask any company holding your data to delete it, and stop new uses by withdrawing consent in one click.
Rollout is phased: the Board exists now, Consent Managers arrive by Nov 2026, full enforcement by May 2027.
Companies can keep data the law forces them to retain (tax, KYC), so 'delete everything' has real exceptions.
Always send requests in writing to the listed grievance officer and keep a dated record for escalation.
