An LBW review checks three things in order: where the ball pitched, where it struck the pad, and whether it was going on to hit the stumps.
Umpire's call exists because ball-tracking is a prediction with a small margin of error, so a marginal clip keeps the on-field decision.
You do NOT lose a review when the result is umpire's call — your two reviews per innings survive.
Three red zones do not always mean out; the wickets zone has a margin where the on-field call stands.
The 'soft signal' was scrapped in 2023, so the third umpire now starts fresh on catches near the ground.
