How to Become a Chess Grandmaster: GM Norms Decoded

India went from 1 GM (Anand, 1988) to around 94 by 2026; Tamil Nadu alone has 35.
Below GM sit IM (2400), FM (2300) and CM (2200) — each a real, permanent FIDE title.
