Kuku IPO: What the Name Behind the ₹3,500 Cr Filing Means

Kuku confidentially filed for a ₹3,500 crore IPO, targeting a ~₹15,000 crore valuation in FY27.

The name 'Kuku' was picked to be short, friendly and easy to say in every Indian language.

Reported FY26 revenue jumped nearly 7x to about ₹1,400 crore from ₹240 crore.

It runs three apps: audio platform Kuku FM, micro-drama app Kuku TV and edutainment brand Guru.

MS Dhoni is among backers; investors include Krafton, Vertex, Granite Asia and IFC.
