Person of the Day: Leena Nair, From Kolhapur to Chanel CEO

Leena Nair rose from a small-town Kolhapur engineer to global CEO of Chanel.

She spent 30 years at Unilever, becoming its first female, first Asian and youngest CHRO in 2016.

In December 2021 she became Chanel's first woman and first Indian-origin global chief executive.

An XLRI Jamshedpur gold medallist, she was the first woman on the night shift at an HUL factory.

She was honoured with the CBE and named among Fortune's Most Powerful Women.
