Person of the Day: Nithin Kamath, the Call-Centre Trader Who Built Zerodha

Nithin Kamath began trading at 17 and worked a call-centre job for years before founding Zerodha in 2010.
Zerodha pioneered flat-fee, zero-commission equity broking in India, slashing trading costs for retail investors.
The company was built entirely without venture capital and turned profitable early, a rarity among Indian startups.
By FY24 Zerodha posted revenue near ₹9,372 crore and is India's largest broker by active clients.
Beyond broking, Kamath runs free education arm Varsity and fintech backer Rainmatter.
