By default, free ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and Meta AI can use your chats to train their models.

ChatGPT: Settings > Data Controls > switch off 'Improve the model for everyone'.

Gemini: profile > Gemini Apps Activity (soon 'Keep Activity') > Turn off; chats still kept 72 hours.

Anything you type to Meta AI inside WhatsApp is not end-to-end encrypted and can be reused.

India's DPDP Act gives consent and erasure rights, but no clean training opt-out toggle yet.
