Stop AI From Training on Your Chats: The Opt-Out Guide

ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude now use your chats to train models unless you switch the setting off.

ChatGPT: Settings > Data Controls > turn off 'Improve the model for everyone'; use Temporary Chat for one-offs.

Gemini: turn off 'Gemini Apps Activity' in your Google Account; set auto-delete to 3 months.

Claude changed its policy in 2025 — opting in allows up to 5-year data retention; opting out keeps the 30-day window.
