Sunscreen Labels Decoded: SPF, PA+++ & the 2-Finger Rule

SPF only rates UVB (burning); PA+ to PA++++ rates UVA (ageing, tanning) — you need both.
Use the two-finger rule: two full lines of sunscreen for face and neck, roughly a quarter-teaspoon.
Reapply every 2-3 hours outdoors; one morning layer does not last all day.
'Broad spectrum' and water-resistant 40/80 min are the labels that actually matter in India.
SPF 30-50 with PA+++ or PA++++ is the practical sweet spot — higher SPF adds little.
