Person of the Day: Pema Khandu, From Tawang to India's Youngest CM
Pema Khandu became India's youngest chief minister in 2016, taking office at age 36.
He started as a grassroots party organiser in Tawang before entering electoral politics in 2011.
His government won 46 of 60 seats in the 2024 Arunachal Assembly election.
Key works: Sela Tunnel, the 1,748-km Frontier Highway and a hydropower push of over 58,000 MW potential.
He has championed horticulture, the Eri silk trade and education in a remote border state.
