Moved for Work? How to Move Your Vote Without Losing It

If you've moved, use Form 8 (Shifting of Residence) — not a fresh Form 6 unless you've never been enrolled.
Submit to the ERO of your new address; it adds you there and removes you from the old roll automatically.
Being on two electoral rolls is an offence under the Representation of the People Act 1950 — fix it, don't ignore it.
Apply free online via the Voter Helpline app or voters.eci.gov.in; track status with your reference ID.
Remote voting for migrants is still a prototype — for now, shifting your registration is the only real fix.
