Tarun Bali Funeral: OPP Officer Killed Near Hearst Honoured

OPP Const. Tarun Bali, 29, from Brampton, was killed June 9 while trying to stop a fleeing vehicle near Hearst, Ontario.

A full police funeral is set for Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at the Mississauga Sports and Entertainment Centre.

The service is private but will be livestreamed, with a public viewing point for the funeral procession.

An 18-year-old Hearst man, Justin Veronneau, faces first-degree murder and other charges; the allegations are untested in court.

Bali had about two and a half years of service and was on deployment with the James Bay Detachment.
