Where Does Your MP's ₹5 Crore Go? Track MPLADS Yourself
Each MP gets ₹5 crore a year, released in two ₹2.5 crore instalments — directly to the district, not to the MP.
The MP only recommends works; the District Authority sanctions, pays contractors and signs off.
At least 15% of the fund must go to SC-majority areas and 7.5% to ST areas.
Unspent money does not lapse — it carries forward, which is why many constituencies sit on huge backlogs.
