RLWL and PQWL depend on a tiny quota for mid-route stations, so a low number can still get stuck.

Waitlisted e-tickets are auto-cancelled and refunded at chart prep; counter WL tickets are not.

RAC means you can board with a shared berth; a plain WL e-ticket means you cannot.

Booking from the train's originating station gives you GNWL and the best chance.
