Corrections Policy
Accuracy matters to us. When we get something wrong, we correct it openly and quickly. This page explains how we handle corrections and how you can flag an error.
How to report an error
If you believe an article contains a factual mistake, please contact us with the article title or link and a short description of the issue. We review every report we receive.
How we correct
- Minor fixes (typos, formatting) are made directly without a note.
- Factual corrections are updated in the article, and significant changes carry an updated date so readers can see the piece was revised.
- Substantial revisions to a story's meaning are noted within the article.
Updates to developing stories
For fast-moving news, we may revise an article as more information becomes available. The "Updated" date shown on an article reflects its most recent meaningful revision.
